Welcome to Katamat Designs' online home. I am a maker of things made from string... wool strings, linen strings, silk strings, bamboo strings, cotton strings... you get the idea.  Sometimes this takes the form of knitting, but more often, my loom is the creative weapon of choice.

I've been fascinated with colour and fibre for as long as I can remember.  At the moment that fascination is taking the form of weaving on an 8-shaft floor loom. The combinations of colour, fibre, structure and pattern are virtually endless.  Sometimes I weave with an end product in mind, and sometimes I am just weaving to see what comes off the loom.
